wtf's wrong with this picture?

obama's talking about unity:

(Bloomberg) -- Democrat Barack Obama detoured from the primary campaign to plead for party unity and criticize Republican John McCain in Florida as Hillary Clinton campaigned there to press her case that the nomination race isn't over.

Contests yesterday in Oregon and Kentucky gave Obama a majority of pledged delegates to the party's August convention in Denver and brought him to within 64 delegates of clinching the Democratic presidential nod. Now the Illinois senator is trying to rally Democrats for the general election battle against McCain.

"We are at the threshold of being able to obtain this nomination,'' Obama told a Tampa crowd...

while hillary's continuing to make threats while trying to change the rules she accepted when the campaign began:

Clinton and her advisers argue the race is far from settled. Campaign Chairman Terence McAuliffe told reporters today that they are pressing the roughly 200 remaining undeclared superdelegates, party leaders and officeholders, to stay on the sidelines until the final primaries on June 3.

Clinton contends the nominee needs 2,210 delegates, rather than the 2,026 under the current rules, by counting the Florida and Michigan delegations.

"I believe the Democratic Party must count these votes,'' Clinton said at a senior citizens center in Boca Raton. "They should count them exactly as they were cast.''

Neither candidate campaigned in the two states after agreeing with the penalties imposed by the Democratic National Committee last year. Obama took his name off the Michigan ballot, a move that Clinton said today shouldn't "negate the choice of all those who turned out to cast their ballots.''

the hypocrisy of the clintons is absolutely astounding.

No.

They hypocrisy of the Clintons is par for the course.

What's astounding is how many of her supporters are throwing out their own integrity to follow her off that cliff!!

Hillary has placed the Party and Obama in a tough spot.

As other have pointed out, she's lost and is now de-legitimizing the process and Obama's win.

How does Hillary return to the Senate with any dignity?

Check this out, while recalling the Clintons remained silent during the 2000 Florida vote saga:

Hillary's new low as per Sullivan

Clinton: Now, I know that Senator Obama chose to remove his name from the ballot in Michigan, and that was his right. But his choice does not negate the votes of all those who turned out to cast their ballots, and we should not let our process rob them and all of you of your voices. To do so would undermine the very purpose of the nominating process. To ensure that as many Democrats as possible can cast their votes. To ensure that the party selects a nominee who truly represents the will of the voters and to ensure that the Democrats take back the White House to rebuild America.

Now, I've heard some say that counting Florida and Michigan would be changing the rules.

I say that not counting Florida and Michigan is changing a central governing rule of this country - that whenever we can understand the clear intent of the voters, their votes should be counted. I remember very well back in 2000, there were those who argued that people's votes should be discounted over technicalities. For the people of Florida who voted in this primary, the notion of discounting their votes sounds way too much of the same.

Sullivan: How do you respond to a sociopath like this? She agreed that Michigan and Florida should be punished for moving up their primaries. Obama took his name off the ballot in deference to their agreement and the rules of the party. That he should now be punished for playing by the rules and she should be rewarded for skirting them is unconscionable.

I think she has now made it very important that Obama not ask her to be the veep. The way she is losing is so ugly, so feckless, so riddled with narcissism and pathology that this kind of person should never be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

My call: next week, Clinton's going to be claiming that she'd won if the primaries were run under the "USSR system". It's only slightly less democratic than the Republican first-past-the-post model, after all, and she's already pushing for the DNC to consider a USSR-style to be valid...

Kill because somebody was killed. Get killed because he killed. Do you think peace will ever come like that?
