In story: Limbaugh's Really Pushing the Racism

Re: Limbaugh's Really Pushing the Racism
( / )
I have written several posts about the socially destructive nature of the Talk Radio Network, Limbaugh is not the only one. There is Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham and Tammy Bruce just to name a few others. Even with the Democrats in control of congress there is NO POLITICAL WILL to impose any restrictions on these right wing demagogues. Recently Savage has been involved in a big fight with women in the Frisco area over his comments about Autistic children. Loosely translated the comment suggested that it would be better to dispose of these children at birth and save the millions of dollars for Insurance companies and States that it costs to maintain these "subhuman" kids.

Some of these radio wing nuts have been actually wishing over the air that someone would have the balls to go out and kill liberals so as to put them (liberals) out of their misery!! Then they add this little disclaimer, "Just joking folks, don't kill all the liberals, just some of them like this bastard XXXXX XXXX!!" (Instead of XXXXX just insert the name of some well known liberal person.)

Faced with a congress that does not care, I think we the people should take these Talk Radio people to court to face criminal action as anarchists. The evidence from their own mouths is definitely the kind of wild inflamatory speech that a raving anarchist would use to create widespread civil disorder and destruction by inciting the populace to commit criminal acts, including murder.

The general excuse that the PC people give for not taking this course of action against these radio right wing nuts is that they are protected under the Constitution's provision for freedom of speech. IMHO, NO ANARCHIST has this right under the Constitution. I say let's go after these anarchists and the sooner the better!

I guess my point is that I'd be more curious about where he's going to be BEFORE the kick-off in Springfield, rather than after it.  If the announcement is going to come before Saturday, it would make sense if it occurred in the VP's home state (at least to me).

I think corporate welfare, greedy management and bad free trade agreements have more to do with that than any immigrant.

I thought Obama was supposed to be announcing his VP pick before Saturday - or did that turn out to be just a rumor?

(I've been expecting the announcement to come today - I wonder if the big push to exploit McCain's little house gaffe bumped the big announcement back a bit.)

So would Al Gore.  Don't count him out.  Getting him to run would be the coup of the century.  Al is just patriotic enough to do it, too, and would he ever be tough on the stump.

BBC Interview Hard Talk - Geert Wilders

Geert Wilders is a member of the Dutch parliament and is constantly surrounded by bodyguards due to his self-declared "jihad" against Islam. He's described the faith as "retarded" and rejects the concept of a moderate Islam.

Yet his provocative 2008 film Fitna was called a "damp squib" and polls show his Party for Freedom only commands around six percent support in the Netherlands

Obama says he's chosen his VP

Is Biden or Bayh economy wonks? I know Biden is deeply connected to the credit card industry....   my read is the VP pick has more economic credentials: here's the hint:

    We'll soon know.

In an interview in Chester, Va., the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said he's made up his mind, but he would not say whether he's informed that person yet. "I won't comment on anything else until I introduce our running mate to the world," he said. "That's all you're going to get out of me."

Obama said it was a difficult decision. "We had some great choices."

Obama said he wanted somebody who is "prepared to be president" and who will be "a partner with me in strengthening this economy for the middle class and working families."

He said he was looking for not just a partner but a sparring partner. "I want somebody who's independent, somebody who can push against my preconceived notions and challenge me so we have got a robust debate in the White House."

Your "mexican-American" population is under siege because millions of illegal aliens are coming here from mexico and lowering the American standard of living.  You're just lucky that it's not any worse.

And this isn't DKos or DU, so I doubt that they'll be banning anyone or taking away anyone's rating abilities.

    Reid: 'I can't stand McCain'

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and John McCain have never exactly enjoyed a close relationship, but the Democratic leader was exceedingly blunt Wednesday in his assessment of his colleague from Arizona.

"I can't stand John McCain," Reid flatly told his hometown paper, the Las Vegas Review Journal
    ...
The top Senate Democrat also said McCain is wrong on a host of issues and "does not have the right temperament" to be commander-in-chief.

Of course, our "liberal media" had to get a plug in for their favorite narrative:

McCain, who has long highlighted his willingness to work with Democrats across the aisle, was slightly more gracious towards Reid in an interview with Politico Wednesday detailing his pledge as president to work with congressional Democrats.

"I [will] go to see the speaker of the House and the majority leader of the Senate -- I assume that that would be Sen. Reid, I hope not, but I think that's probably the reality of this election -- and I would say, 'Let's have an agenda, let's work together,"

But, of course, Reid can't finish without giving Joe Lieberman a big, fat, slobbery kiss right on the lips.

Meanwhile, when it comes to Joe Lieberman's role in the Senate next year, Reid suggested he would welcome him back to the Democratic caucus.

"All my close votes, he's always with me, whether it's the budget or energy issues," he said of Lieberman. "No matter what it is, he's always with us. He just does not vote right on Iraq. ... Why would I want to throw away a good vote?"

Harry and Joe.  Best Friends Forever.
