These are all fantastic and imaginative photos but I really like this one -- there's something about the mood it sets that really speaks to me.

You want to know what happened? Those people in the top right apartment had a Halloween party last night and played Bob Dylan all night long. Needless to say, the party ended near 11pm. I miss the old neighbors who used to live there. One guy used to walk around the apt. naked, which was very, very nice. His boyfriend didn't think it was very nice and you could hear the arguements out on the street. I miss those days.

Your pics of your children are not gratuitous. Your diary wouldn't be the same without them somewhere in these this year. They are cute, and curious, and so delightfully natural kids!

Mini Mr. Fluffy. We have one of those electrostatic cleaners that we named Mr. Fluffy. We've had Mr. Fluffy since '99. This kid, loves Mr. Fluffy, but we won't let her play with him because he's kinda nasty. So one day, when my husband took the kid to the grocery store, she saw this and we dubbed it Mini Mr. Fluffy. Well, somehow since Jan. MMF has become Mrs. Fluffy and she just loves Mrs. Fluffy. We do get odd looks when go out and she has Mrs. Fluffy with her.

I love to see children with active imaginations and parents that foster imaginative play. I see so many young children (age 4-6) at my school who are passive. They don't initiate imaginative play. It's sad.

I think this little one is going to grow up to some kind of production efficiency expert.  Hmmmm, let's see, if we tie the brush to our feet the cleaning will get done while we walk around ...

EXCELLENT!! I live on the Malibu coast, & see it all the time, but even though I get blase about it, a shot like that reminds me of what paradise is. Great one.

I had my husband pull over so I could take this pic. I was very ill, convinced we were gonna go over the side and I looked out and saw dolphins jumping up and out of the water. That lasted for 3 miles. Then we turned this curve and I looked back trying to find the dolpins and saw this. Amazing. It taken not far from Santa Cruz. I have another I took closer to Cambria and it was like a less rocky, more yellow version. Those clouds rolled in fast though. By the time we got to Morro Bay, it was raining a storm and seals (sea lions?) were making a huge ruckus.

Is that the same? To tell the truth, it was very windy and despite my girth, I was convinced I was going to get blown over the cliff, so I hugged the car and took the pic. I'll have to search our hard drives, but I have a pic of my husband crouching down on the yellow version of that.

Oh, I love this shot. I was "just there" - May, actually, to visit my bro in Malibu, very sick and we didn't want to be there and dreaded the visit.   But it was so gorgeous. My other brothers and I took this drive up the coast (sick bro couldn't go). On the way back, we stopped where it looked at lot like this.  We said almost as one, "if we had to be that sick, this is the place." It makes you feel so good just to look out and see it all each day. And bro is better, a great wonder!
