Oui has had 4 up at once, and if memory serves, I once had 3.   So, if BooMan gets a reward for that, he can put  it on my tab!! (Oui's too.)

Hi BooMan,  I tried to link to this so you wouldn't have to, but I couldn't get the direct link to your comment before you did.  Sorry...

I HATE being filled with this much hate and rage. I just want to love...

:(

I'm sorry to hear it, BooMan.  Make sure you let your real life (and online) friends help you with the next few days.

My heart is broken for you. No wonder you're looking for a happy story.

The only one I can think of quickly is that perhaps your prediction will be right and Fitzmas is just around the corner. I know that nothing will make it all better - but I'm sure a frog march would help.

Booman,

I am so sorry to hear this.  I hope this prayer will comfort you and your family at this time:

This we know: every living thing is yours and returns to you. As we ponder this mystery we give you thanks for the life of Buster and we now commit him into your loving hands.

Gentle God: fragile is your world, delicate are your creatures, and costly is your love which bears and redeems us all.

Holy Creator, give us eyes to see and ears to hear how every living thing speaks to us of your love. Let us be awestruck at your creation and daily sing your praises.

Especially, create within us a spirit of gratitude for the life of this beloved pet who has lived among
us and given us freely of his love. Even in our sorrow we have cause for joy for we know that all creatures who died on earth shall live again in your new creation.

Amen.

We must not continue to cure the symptoms and ignore the disease!

Having gone through this loss process many times in my life and being a super pet lover, my suggestion is to get another Dog as soon as you feel up to it. Do not wait too long.

2 days ago I (finally) got this bumper sticker and put it on my car:

Today as I was getting into my car, a middle aged black woman told me she liked it and asked me where I bought it.  I gave her the website address, and she replied "I'll have to get one of those.  Everybody should have one."

Damn straight.

I don't have a happy story.  Social worker screwed up and now I have to straighten out a mess that I thought was taken care of.

I would love to have a government job.

(Seriously, she's not that bad, but this was a really idiotic screw up.)

BooMan, sorry to hear about your buddy.  ):

Best I can do
OGDEN DUNES, Ind. - A man celebrating his release from jail was arrested on a South Shore train for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District police arrested John A. McKenzie, 32, of Chicago, on the train headed to South Bend Tuesday night.

McKenzie was drunk as he rode the northern Indiana commuter line with his wife and three children, following his release from a Chicago jail, police said.

Another passenger reported McKenzie to officers after he allegedly swiped a beer from him, police said.

An argument erupted, and police from NICTD, Ogden Dunes and Burns Harbor arrived to take McKenzie into custody after he made repeated death threats to the officers, police said.

McKenzie remained in the Porter County Jail Thursday, a jail officer said.

I've been to Indiana and I don't blame him!!!
