Welcome to the real world.

I note that Peloshi's message to Dubya was to get "a new plan for Iraq that makes it clear to the Iraqis that they must defend their own streets and their own security". Beyond the implicit talkdown on Iraqis, those little irresponsible children, there is the implicit assumption that what US soldiers provide is security.

I know that articulating something much closer to reality would be impossible to say, would be impossible to not get painted as antipatriotic by a wide majority. But I'd hope the Democrat's position on Iraq will not boil down to what could already be sensed in their smackdown of PM Maliki in Congress last year: "blame it on the Iraqis". Because that's barely better than the Republoscum way.

Obscene...think I will go puke now. No wonder they hate us.

just want the frontpage to be as factual as it can be.  The DEATH FROM THE SKY -- AC-130U GUNSHIP VIDEO is not from Iraq.  The video is from Afghanistan before the Iraq War was started.  My husband has most of the archived military targeting footage from the air because of the class that he teaches and he knows them all by heart at this point, that is how I know where and when it was shot.

Thanks Tracy

I wasn't sure where it was from, but I thought it was probably representative of similar footage from Iraq even if it was from somewhere else.

They bust the guys for looting and crush their car. While the punishment doesn't fit the crime, what seems like it is REALLY wrong is that they didn't unload the wood from the top of the car to return it to the owner.

What's more, the driver denied having been a looter.

This is very sad! Small wonder that we are considered the enemy.
