Arrest the Torturers

by BooMan

Here is a war criminal's confession. Here's a war criminal opining about the state of Afghanistan. Here's a war criminal getting recruited by Viacom lobbyists to a sweet deal consulting job on the movie adaptation of The Kite Runner. Here's DCI Michael Hayden explaining that the tapes of this war criminal in the act of torturing a borderline retarded man had to be destroyed to protect the war criminal from reprisals.

Another Republican talking point rendered inoperative.

Meanwhile, the war criminal says that torture is really effective, even though it has already been reported that his victim was a dunce with almost no operational information and that the information he provided was all false.

In one of the most hotly discussed sections of his book "The One-Percent Doctrine," Suskind reveals that at least one top FBI analyst considered Zubaydah an "insane, certifiable, split personality" and that he was mainly responsible only for logistics like travel arrangements. According to Suskind's reporting, the interrogation methods used on Zubaydah -- waterboarding and sleep deprivation, among others -- only yielded information about plots that did not exist.

I want this war criminal arrested. And I want the people that authorized his torture arrested.

I AGREE!
Even though we all have known this happened, to see a face put on the man who actually committed the War Crime makes my blood boil. I am really in shock, that the reaction to someone actually appearing on TV to admit to torture has received almost no coverage in the Trad. media!

much great coverage and commentary on the left/liberal blogs on this issue.
thanks for the continued info and insight, booman.

i'll say it again, book 'em all, Danno!!  time to send nearly all of DC to The Hague for war crimes trials. and that includes most of the democrats too as they continue to vote funds for this immoral war. torture may just be the issue that upsets this applecart, which the democrats have so skillfully aided and abetted and kept rolling for so long too....

And you want to vote in 08? Bullshit. They are all guilty and unless some kind of legal pledge is created that assures all of the voters that the incoming congress will truly represent the voters, to hell with voting.

Clearly this war criminal is quite sure he will not be arrested or he would not have appeared on the teevee.

If you want things to get better, be prepared to deal with change.
