Condi Can't Remember Iranian Overture

by BooMan
Fri Feb 9th, 2007 at 03:28:10 PM EST

You know, there is quite a bit of difference between offering to recognize Israel and threatening to wipe it off the map. Threatening to wipe Israel off the map can lead to things like preemptive war with Iran. But what if Iran is (or was) more interested in coming to an accomodation with the Israels (and the United States) than they were in annihilating them?

Well, that would make it difficult to justify a premptive strike on Iran, wouldn't it? So, if on the off chance that Iran...I don't know, sent the State Department a fax offering to recognize Israel that would be kind of a problem for people that want to blow Teheran to smithereens. No?

I guess the best thing to do in that circumstance would be to pretend you never saw the fax. Or if a witness came along to say you did see it, it would be best to say that you can't remember seeing it. Otherwise, you know, you might not be able to say that we have to blow up Iran because they want to wipe Israel off the map.

Just a thought.

Ya know, I smoke a lot of pot.  A LOT.
And yet, I remember pretty much everything I have to do at my job, which as a grantwriter is a lot of stuff: names, contacts, budgets, program information, who gave what when, etc etc.

I want some of whatever Condi's smoking, cus that shit has wiped out her short-term memory.

Well, they did come into office wanting to claim the mantle/legacy of Reagan. Who could have predicted that would simply be, "I don't recall."

But... but...

they're evildoers, you see!

And evildoers are evil!

It was clearly all a big fake out, get us to let down our guard so they can eat babies and kick redblooded american puppy dogs!

No, really, I think Iran has a lot of problems, but I think that anytime we have an administration that decides that disagreements are because the other side is "evil", we're not doing so well ourselves.

To be fair, Iran really should just go ahead and recognize Israel regardless. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it would also be politically smart.

It's not only that she can't remember the fax from 2003 but apparently she doesn't remember publicly commenting on the Iranian offer(on public radio I think)thus verifying it just last year.  Is the criteria for working for bush to see who can tell the biggest or stupidest lies by any chance.

I'm not up on Secretaries of State but even knowing little about previous ones she still has to be the most absolutely worthless SoS we've ever had.

here we go again. This plantation resident has once again stuck her pradas in her mouth and I am not even referring to the Israeli stupidity.
Has anyone seen the ignorant stooges' comments regarding Chavez. What a dumb ignorant broad.
The best is that the reference to the Catholic church was  immediately denied by the local Bishop!!! No US contact. No US relationship at all.And the PBS report covered the situation and reported that the response by  the unwashed was just about a total support(That is correct- I said Support) for Chavez! So, like I said when I started this- The plantation resident ( the house nigress) has done it again.
What is that song-"When will they ever learn, when will the ever learn!"
