Schumer's pseudo outrage

by AliceDem

Like many of you I received an email this week from the DSCC signed by Chuck Schumer. He claimed to be outraged by the commutation of Libby's sentence and wanted me to sign a petition and send the DSCC some money.

Here is why I can't take his claims of outrage seriously. Chuck Schumer sits of the Board of Advisors of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a neo-con organization populated by such notorious Libby apologists as Richard Carlson, Bill Kristol, Richard Perle, Charles Krauthammer, and Victoria Toensing. I really don't see how you can pretend to care about Libby's treasonous behavior and keep company with people like that. Moreover, I am tired of Democrats letting organizations like that use their names to get the patina of respectability.

this is why I am an independent and not a democrat.  I just can't handle the hypocrisy of the why they do business especially with the AIPAC group.  I want to know why they think they have more to be protected than do regular Americans do.  You know the rest of us out here that try to obey the law and work our lives to the end of our lives and make nothing.  I just want to know WHY!?

I never could stand schumer or leiberman or brazile (sp).  hypoctats all of them....I used not to feel like this till the last 15 years or so...they have ruined it all for all of us...we so not have a democracy any longer and they helped do this to us all...

To say this is why I am not a Democrat is just a cop out. It matters a great deal that Senator Leahy has subpoena power, that is why I worked very hard for Webb even though Webb is a complete jerk.

could you explain whay you worked for webb if he was a complete jerk.  The few dems that are on our side are so outnumbered that they really ahve got to work hard to be for us, we the ppl, as I see it.  I, at forst, thought webb was legit, but am slowly not amused as to his purpose in the world of politics.
