Having grown up with Batman on TV (and the Professor), I have an aversion to "hero".
That said, an intellectual from the early 20th, to whom I can relate, wrote (concerning Empire): "The alternative is to hold on to them with ever-lessening force, till the anarchy is too expensive, and we let go." T. E. Lawrence The more I find out about him, the more relevant he seems. As if he had studied, and lived with, the people that he was discussing. C
