Ifill: Outrage of the Day

by BooMan
Wed Oct 1st, 2008 at 01:01:22 PM EST

I think it is an outrage that they are going to let Gwen Ifill, a woman, moderate a debate between a man and a woman. It's as plain as day that Ifill is completely in the tank for Sarah Palin. She's been waiting her whole life to see a woman elected to high office. Ovarian solidarity assures that she will be biased against Joe Biden and treat him unfairly. They should switch it so Ifill will moderate one of the debates between McCain and Obama. Letting a woman moderate a debate that involves a woman is just one more example of conservative media bias.

[H/T to Michelle Malkin, Bob Unruh, and Greta Van Susteren].

I hope it wasn't too confusing.

It's a good plan.

If Palin tanks, it's Gwen Ifill's fault, so Palin wins the debate.

If by some miracle she doesn't, she wins the debate anyway.

Your links to Michelle Malkin and Greta van Susteren are just more proof of the vast ovarian-wing media conspiracy.

Palin can't handle a moderator who authored a book about this campaign year, and also an article about Obama.

- - - - -

Given Palin's lightweight yet abysmal interview record so far, I can understand Malkin's concern about Palin facing a moderator first time who has some bona fide credentials as a journalist.  Palin should only appear safe Fox interviews or in bubble events, a la Bush's 2004 campaign.

I would not be surprised if the debate is the last time we see Palin answering questions.

and pass me the facial tissue

Maybe a change of venue too

according to the Hatman's banner -

Ifill's book, "Age of Obama' is slated for release on Inauguration day"

No word from these beauties on smears about Obama including the website offering up the crimes of Obama.. like when he was in Indonesia.

Perhaps we should ask David Frost or Putin to moderate ?

Well, "You can't vote for war and disown the results"

The polls should be telling McCain this is such a yesterday tact to pile onto Palin's victimhood. Stakes are getting higher and higher for the distractions, when's he gonna hafta take a tour of the Hanoi Hilton, have Palin shoot a moose happily having tea under a pipeline, give Petraus the GPS location of OBL's camp, go off his meds...reality is biting at those heels of the distrationists.

WTF?! I simply cannot understand how any self respecting woman can support someone based on nothing more than the possession of two X chromosomes, and standard female body parts. And what I REALLY cannot understand is how Hillary supporters can support a candidate who is the antithesis of everything Hillary is and stands for the antithesis of everything Hillary stands for.

I have always been a non-supporter of Hillary Clinton based almost entirely on her history and positions in certain areas of importance to me, and slightly on certain personal qualities that concern me. Nevertheless, I can see her many positive personal qualities, and her capabilities, and believe she could do the job. I consider Sarah Palin's candidacy for VP a HUGE insult to Hillary, and an outrageous insult to her supporters.

I just cannot understand it at all.

another recommended read is matt taibbi's recent missive: The scariest thing about Sarah Palin isn't how unqualified she is - it's what her candidacy says about America.
