Palin Sighting this Weekend

by Steven D
Fri Oct 17th, 2008 at 10:33:44 AM EST

She may not give interviews anymore except to Fox News. And she's still riling up her supporters against that terrorist Obama on the stump, speeches which are apparently limited to ignorant white people who hate uppity negroes. But if you really want to see her the best place to catch a live sighting of Sarah Palin this weekend apparently will be in the Lion's Den of Network Television itself:

(CNN) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin plans to appear on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, multiple sources told CNN Thursday.

"Saturday Night Live" has featured three opening skits in which former cast member and Palin lookalike Tina Fey portrays the Alaska governor.

It was not known whether Fey also will appear on Saturday night's program.

Should make for a good carnival act, I suppose, but only if Tina Fey makes an appearance with her. Otherwise it won't be worth your time to bother watching in my humble opinion. I don't know what she thinks she's going to get out of it. Her fundie base doesn't watch SNL. It's way past their bedtime. Maybe she's hoping to get the Joe the (not a licensed) Plumber vote. Oh, wait. She already has it. Nevermind.

Yeah, I heard about that a week or two ago.

I am SOOOOOO looking forward to it!

Something tells me this Palin supporter will be watching ultimate fighting and not SNL.

Yes, SNL, thank you, humanize her for the buzz you'll get.

My guess is she's appearing for a couple of reasons.  It allows her to be seen and portrayed as a fun-lovin' "every-gal" with a sense of humor.  And because our media, who are about entertainment first, will play her up mightily as the good sport.  Why, see, she's just your average Jane, poking fun at herself with such a healthy dose of self deprecation.  I believe it will help her.  Because they have flatly stated they want to do everything they can to make this election about personalities, not the issues.  And this will help them do that, if only in a very small way.

With the media's help, this will advance their cause.

anyone catch that Palin wants $ 15,000,000 dollars for her e-mails and those of her husband.

Straight Talk Express is charging a lot of money.

P.S. don't forget that Palin didn't listen to Tiny Fey's 1st Perfomance on SNL she turned down the volume on the TV

You only get one 15 minute period of fame. This is a chance for Palin to makeup for her loss of a beauty contest in the 80s. Palin is proof that if you keep trying you can eventually get national attention.

It's the American way.
