The Mind of McCain

by Steven D
Thu Mar 20th, 2008 at 12:19:58 PM EST

Or as some might call it, the Mind of Dementia:

[It's] common knowledge and has been reported in the media that al-Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran, that's well known. And it's unfortunate.

March 18, 2008

My greatest fear is the Iranians acquire a nuclear weapon and give it to a terrorist organization. And there is a real threat of them doing that.

May 4, 2007

Only the most deluded of us could doubt the necessity of [the Iraq] war.

Aug 30, 2004 at the Republican National Convention

There are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today.

March 26, 2007

You know that old Beach Boys song, Bomb Iran? Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran.

April 18, 2007

I think I'd just commit suicide [if Democrats retook the Senate].

October 18, 2006

It's harder and harder trying to do the Lord's work in the city of Satan [i.e., Washington D.C.]

March 7, 2008

"I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated."

November, 2005

The problem, ... is that most members of Congress don't pay attention to what's going on.

Date unknown

I hate the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live.

February 17, 2000

[W]e cannot forever hide the truth about ourselves, from ourselves.

May 11, 1996 Commencement address at Ohio Wesleyan University

Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father.

June 8, 1998

from bill maher yesterday, speaking about mccain and iran iraq:

..."We are one terrorist attack away from John McCain...rising in the polls by ten points, because people think, `oh, yeah, he is tougher.' He is not tougher about the war. -- he's dumber about the war. He's dumb about the war because he thinks by keeping troops in the heart of the Muslim world that's going to help the war on terror. That's exactly what started the war on terror...

The piece of shit wants to be the Pres. of the US? And he has a damn good chance of winning! Not only is he a nasty vengeful individual, but he is also suffering from the ptsd resulting from his internment in NVA. Now, add to that, his obvious willingness to either his growing "misspeaks" to his current age and there will be a growing question as to whether he is suffering from the early onset of some form of dementia. Watch his offhand comments. They will grow in embarassing intensity as the stress of the campaign increases. He also displays a willingness to cozy up to a growing group of bizzare of individuals that reflect a strong intensity towards the extreme right wing of the country.
Now, is this presidential? Or is this just one more example of the bankruptcy of the current GOP?
