Unhinged McCain

by BooMan

I'm kind of surprised at how many people are willing to go on the record as saying that John McCain is temperamentally unfit to be president of the United States. I don't really think of McCain as this unhinged, vindictive kind of a guy. I guess I've been somewhat brainwashed by the media's love affair with McCain, just like the rest of the nation. Dude is crazy.

I am not surprised.... actually I amazed that this has not come out here hand to settle a few scores.  You should hear some of the veterans I know talk about him.  Not favorable in the slightest.  Just saying.  Actually there is more to this man that anyone really knows about, and not favorable either.....just saying.....

Having had the misfortune to meet Mr. McShame and seen his pomposity and arrogance in action.  Being a retired Navy Chief, I addressed him as Captain when he was on vacation on the island of Bora Bora where I was living at the time.  He snapped back "My Friend, I am to be addressed as Senator as that is my title.  I replied, Cap'n, I addressed you as the title that I last had any respect for you as and as the last position you held honorably...  Needless to say he exploded in rage and threatened to have me thrown out of French Polynesia.  I started laughing and he was shaking in rage when I told him to go ahead and do it, but Not only was I a French National, but I was also a Citizen of French Polynesia and as so was a local, and could not be removed from these islands..  I did an about face and walked away from him all blotchy faced and shaking in rage..  I saw him in the same room with me several times afterwards (over the period of 2 years), but he would look away when our eyes met..  But the first few minutes turned me totally against him and made me wonder, once I became acquainted with "GW" and his "monkey on his back" the father GHW aka Herr Geo I, if the two sons of very prominant military heros, aren't having the same psychological problems of trying to get out from Dad's shadow...  I also knew the Admiral very well as I was his crypto tech when he was CincPacFlt.  I found him to be a very calm and kind person who took the time to speak even in passing to an enlisted man who worked for him..  Not so for either of the sons.  I would never vote for him.  I would like to ask him why he wasn't promoted to rear admiral for retirement purposes when he retired, that seemed to be de rigor at the time.  I knew several Captains who retired and were retired out as Rear Admirals..  John John the dog faced boy made himself some enemies while in the Navy when he came back from the Nam.....  Betcha a dollar to a dog dropping and let a repig hold the stakes...

Just this old chief's 2¢

Thanks for the interesting tale and hello from another old swab, albeit an airdale. VU-10, Leeward Point 63 - 64 was my most memorable duty.

Hey Chief, I was in crypto stuff, at NSA.  We didn't listen to Americans then, on the phones, I mean.

I'm so good that I could swagger,
I know stuff that would make you stagger,
     I'm 90% cloak and 10% dagger,
Boo, boo, baby, I'm a spy.

I met him when I lived in Arizona and was always stunned at the number of Republicans in Phoenix who always voted against him and told stories of his rages.

Just what we need at a time when the Mid East is fraught with peril and a potential war with Iran is in the offing; a man with an anger problem.  Where do the Republicans find such misfits to represent them and us? Why do they hate America so much?

I sure hope Obama wins the primary and the general election.  The United States could use a break.

Coincidence is the voice of God; synchronicity His song.
