Michelle Obama on that RFK type of talk:

“Send us good vibes. Pray for us. Think positive thoughts. But most of all, be vigilant. Be vigilant about stopping this kind of talk. It’s not funny. You don’t have to like Barack to dislike that kind of talk. Be vigilant about stopping that kind of talk.”

She is advocating for suppressing freedom of speech!!!

yeah.  I think she's more concerned about the copycat effect.  Didn't John Hinckley read speculation about assassination attempts on Reagan just prior to switching from stalker to shooter?

I think I remember that.

Yep, any reasonable citizen would support an individual's inalienable right to yell Fire! in a crowded theater.

The magic number 44

Obama has a new fan who is anxious to meet him:

Rupert Murdock says Obama will win, McCain has too many problems

Rupert Murdoch -- Chairman of News Corp, new WSJ owner, and longtime torchbearer for conservative politics -- said this about Barack Obama: "He is a rock star. It's fantastic" "I love what he is saying about education." "I don't think he will win Florida.....but he will win in Ohio and the election". "I am anxious to meet him." "I want to see if he will walk the walk."

About the presumptive Republican nominee, Murdoch said, "McCain is a friend of mine. He's a patriot. But he's unpredicatble. Doesn't seem to know much about the economy. He has been in Congress a long time, and you have to make a lot of compromises. So what's he really stand for?... I think he has a lot of problems."

he was he was.

another Obamacon: Mrs Hagel

"Sens. John McCain and Chuck Hagel have long been friends. Fellow Republicans and Vietnam War veterans, their Senate offices are just across the hall from each other.

But at least during the presidential primary, Hagel's wife, Lilibet, is helping McCain's likely Democratic rival, Barack Obama."
