We have a lot of traffic today. The Hamsters are getting a little exhausted. Some of you fine visitors should stick around and create a user account so you can comment.

What's shaking in the rumor mill?

Welcome to the frog pond, as they say. The water's a little murky, but it is an election year, after all.

The rumor mill says you are SLOW. And so is hullabaloo.

Something is causing a LOT of traffic.

Do you have a follow up to the Michelle Obama tape?  I checked in at No Quarter this morning and it seemed like LJ was taking some flak for a bit of a letdown.

There were a few comments looking forward to Clinton's 2012 run after Obama's 2008 inability to do the job only Clinton can do.  How is that described?  Missing the forest for the trees?

First we heard he had the tape, then that he had only SEEN the tape, then that he had only HEARD from five people about the tape, then that the five people themselves only HEARD about the tape...

Methinks this is a little tiny molehill, at best.

Would that be like the old two people in a horse suit thing, where one person's the front and the other person's the rear? And would they have to flip for who gets to be the 'horse's ass'?

Simple answers to simple questions:

Armando: Is purging the Clinton Wing of the Democratic Party the official policy of the Barack Obama campaign?

Me: Pretty much.  Not the wing, but the operatives.

Ooooh, lovely. I'm putting it on now.

I didn't know he was the inspiration for Doctor Teeth! I think "Doctor Teeth and the Electric Mayhem" is one of the best band names ever.

It is one of the best of Dr. John in my opinion.
Beautiful lyrics & music, & definitely easy to blend into.
Thanks dada

Thanks!

You may have gotten some traffic from John Cole this morning. He's managed to dig up some old, incriminating Obama videos as well! Check it out.
by RandyH on Mon Jun 2nd, 2008 at 02:35:14 PM EST
I came over today from a link at Balloon Juice about the Michelle/Obama "whitey" video.  (And I found Balloon Juice last week through a link at the Daily Kos.)

I really hope you are right about what she really says on that video and that this rumor can finally be put to rest.  I didn't know anything about Larry Johnson or No Quarter before the last two weeks and now I wish I'd never heard of him. Taylor Marsh and talkleft are bad enough, his site is absolutely toxic.

There's a diary on MyDD linking to your post on the Michele Obama video.
by Rick Oliver on Mon Jun 2nd, 2008 at 03:02:19 PM EST
There was also a recommended diary yesterday on the Great Orange Satan referencing BooMan on the Michelle Video teapot tempest. I don't remember if there were links or not. I suppose BooMan could take a look at his server logs to see where the traffic was being referred from if he was so inclined.

I see the whitey-gate controversy is now being reported on by Harper's -- not as an actual story, but as a story about the smear attempts.

"-Johnson was long well regarded in liberal circles, because lefties just can't resist a "former intelligence official" that talks trash about the Bush Administration. But he never had any credibility, even when what he said was true. Now Johnson is in the tank for Hillary Clinton and he's been posting some truly idiotic things at his website-like an item with the headline "Obama's Chavez Communist Hezbollah Hamas Problem." I've seen liberal, pro-Obama bloggers wonder, "What happened?" to Johnson, but that's only because they were too credulous about him to begin with."
