NN: Surprise Visit By Al Gore

by BooMan
Sat Jul 19th, 2008 at 11:15:32 AM EST

The big feature of this year's Netroots Nation is called 'Ask the Speaker'. Starting at about 8:30 local time, Nancy Pelosi began answering questions from ordinary netrootsers. After about an hour she got a question about the environment. And out of nowhere Al Gore's voice began to answer. Then he appeared at the back of the stage. He is currently giving a speech about Global Warming. This was an unannounced appearance and a big 'get' for the convention organizers. Pretty cool!

A pretty lofty goal...

I'm jealous.  Must be very cool to be there.

Hey, Cabin Girl, are you there too?  The conference sounds like a lot of fun.  It's great to get these updates from you guys--makes me feel like a virtual tourist!

Pelosi is so full of crap regarding accountability. I can't even stand to listen to her about this stuff. I get that she probably had prior knowledge, but stop feeding us the bullshit.
