Troubling Policies

I've heard the 'she had it coming' rape defense before, but I've never seen a town before that handed the victim a bill for their post-rape forensic exam. I'd be interested to know if Sarah Palin also charged victims for their emergency contraception. Couldn't have any rapist's potential baby getting snuffed out in the fallopian tube, could we?

It would be quite interesting to have an ad from someone who was actually charged. Of course, the ad would need to be done carefully, but we are all familiar with testimony which conceals the person talking - it could be done that way.

Jeebus - I don't think I could ask anyone who'd been raped to do that. You saw how the wingers went apeshit over Michael J. Fox? Or the 9/11 widows? They'd do as bad - if not worse - to some woman who'd been raped and was speaking out about this garbage. Makes me ill just thinking about it.

And the ad would have to be very carefully done. But it would be very powerful. And if you had been raped by some turd, and then raped by Sarah and her little tin cup fascist chief cop, you might be actually really really mad and happy to get back at them, no?
