Die, Eagles, die.

Dangerous my ass, my Panthers chose last night to have the worst playoff game in their history.  Anybody could have and would have beaten them last night.

Jake Delhomme's six turnovers, John Fox's complete inability to adjust in the second half, Steve Smith a complete non-factor...I gotta wonder if that was going to be one of those losses that haunt a franchise for years.

Well, at least we wouldn't have to play them in the desert.  The Eagles would.

it's 72 degrees today, the Cards will die of frostbite in an outdoor game.

is that what happened in Foxboro?

exactly.  there's a retractable roof in Glendale not for cold, but so they can close it up in case the delicate flowers need to lower the thermostat on the A/C.

That being said, the adrenaline factor may help them now...winning playoff games is something very, very new to the team.

Hi Booman! Just back from Philly and the glorious FLYERS victory last night. Now for an encore a glorious EAGLES victory!
BTW any personnel updates? Maybe Eli accidentally shot himself or something? Just asking.

McNabb and Manning are having a really hard time throwing the ball.  Conditions are tough, but that's the Meadowlands.  The Giants need to get the running game going and get into the damn endzone.

The Eagles need to figure out a way to get yards when the Jints are not in a prevent defense.

I just hung up the Steeler flag.

They better win because I'm afraid of heights and don't want to back on that ladder tomorrow.

Aikman sounds sad he may have to say something 'mean' about someone. Can't have those nasty emails!

He's a wanker, always has been. He and Manning should start a club.

Just like he did during his first coupla years.

He's got a petulant streak.

Spoiled.

It seemed to disappear last year.

Relief over not having to deal with Tiki and Sheikie? (Shockey)

Maybe

Now who's to blame?

Nasty.

Every time there's a drop.

I can see it in his eyes.

It was his fault!!! He dwopped it!!!

Meanwhile he's throwing ducks that are lamer that George W. Butch.

The field goal kicker ain't doin' much either.

Yeah. It's the wind.

Right.

As of this moment,. the wind is bothering the Eagles about 9 points less than it is the Giants.

McNabb?

He's stronger physically, so he can throw through the wind.

20-11 Eagles.

Eagles vs. the Ducks.

So it goes.

Maybe Plaxico kin shoot somebody.

Only question there is...which side would he aim at?

What I'm not a fan of is woodwork refugees creeping out into the daylight to pile on when a team falls short of it's goals. Philly fans litter this diary with proof of their preference for the low road. Salunga excepted.

Every once in a while I see something on a high profile sports team, and I mention it in various places.

What? You don't see Eli Manning's pissy attitude when things don't go his way?

I saw it the first time I tuned into one of his early games.

I doid't see it much last year, and now...here it is again.

So it goes.

My own real interest in sports?

To see what works and what doesn't.

On any level.

As above, so below.

It's a shame I have such huge feet since it looks like I will me munching on them soon and I kinda lost my appetite over the last couple of hours :o)

i would like all the phila sports writers who wrote back in nov that mcnabb had played his last game and reid needed to go should now resign in disgrace.

the media sucks

other than microsoft i cant think of another group of people who are so wrongly rewarded for their complete mediocrity.

If they lose either of the next two games the Philly scribes will run the same game.

They're just auditioning to become poliitical writers.

Like Keith Olbermann only less talented.

Olbermann's real breakthrough?

He realized that it is all comedy. All's you have to do is find an audience that needs a good laugh.

Or a good cry, of course...

Later...

Where you been, Chris? Just like a Philly fan to step in and take a backhanded slap after things go their way. Just like O'nabby's little low class phone play on the Giants sideline. Low class? No class.

Where have I been? Here and there, but in the hospital mostly. It's helped keep me from making high class predictions such as:

BooMan should relax. The Giants defense is going to annihilate McNabb and the Eagles.

On the 50th anniversarry of the Greatest Game Ever Played it won't be the Colts, but it will be New York vs. Baltimore in the Superbowl.

That's 2 predictions more than I should've made but I'm feeling confident about my boys.
It's snowing here now (New York) and tomorrow promises to be cold and windy. Perfect NFC East football weather and perfect for defense and perfect for the #1 rushing game the Giants bring.

But seriously, what sort of a sheltered life have you led if you don't expect somebody to get a little gentle ribbing after writing "Die, Eagles, die?" just prior to a game where exactly the opposite happened. It's a big, cold, cruel world out there brother. If this is the sort shit that gets you weepy, you probably need to get your meds adjusted.
