Serious Question

by BooMan

Isn't it time we all get really serious about convincing MSNBC that Pat Buchanan is unacceptably racist?

And Rachel announced tonight that tomorrow she'll be joined by "Uncle Pat." I will be turning it off at that point. I will no longer watch him, ever, even on Countdown or Rachel, both of whom I love and watch every night.
by peacearena on Wed Jul 15th, 2009 at 10:44:21 PM EST
Me too.

I don't think Buchanan has ever been on Countdown, though, so you're probably safe there :-).

Yeah, me too.  I love Rachel, but I can't tolerate even a few seconds of that guy.

I'd say MSNBC is painfully well aware of the fact.

if only we could get him to say "blowjob" on the air... THEN they'd act!

Or get one on the air. Then even Fox wouldn't pick him up.

You mean that isn't painfully obvious?

It's all about ratings. I'm sure the extreme right wingnuts love him. And I guess no one complains so the NBC brass, in their infinate wisdom, keep him on. His sister is a real wingnut also. Must be genetic.

When he finally goes Jimmy the Greek/Al Campanis the media firestorm will be great for ratings.

shit...he goes Jimmy the Greek five days a week.

I've sent a number of e-mails to AM Joe indicating that until they get rid of Buchanan I'm not a viewer.  He now seems to be on the air more than before and spouting more racist crap than before.

I wish that a viewer boycott and continue e-mails would end his tenure.

I quit watching the minute Mika became an unabashed Palin fan back in the fall.  Ever since, when I skim by there, I see either Buchanan or Liz Cheney.  There is nothing else for me on my cable offering in the am (save BBC for a half hour or so).

Good white folks never call out one another's racism.

Oh yes painfully obvious. However, if PB is the current face of the Republican Party it doesn't hurt us democrats. PB reinforces the old school Republican stereotypes which modern day Republicans try to hide from.
