For My Birthday Al Gore AND Tipper Will Be Invited to Dinner

by LindainSFNM
Thu Apr 3rd, 2008 at 01:02:30 PM EST

And I mean that in all seriousness.  No lie.  As a matter of fact, I will give Mr. Gore and Tipper advance notice so there is no scheduling difficulties.  I’m sure Mr. Gore will jump at the chance, because I have worked so hard and passionately on his behalf and his mission.  I’ve gathered signatures.  I’ve handed out fliers at various events and movie premieres.  I had a party and handed out florescent light bulbs.  And I’ve held visibility events holding a banner I made with my own two hands.  So surely he and Tipper will come, because I have actually walked the talk, not just called him for advice.

Mr. and Mrs. Gore, the date is July 28.  I hope this advance notice will be sufficient time and I leave the restaurant choice up to you.

So Tired of Obama's Lies and False Accusations

by LindainSFNM
Sun Mar 23rd, 2008 at 01:25:32 AM EST

So, does Senator Obama think he can try to whine and lie his way in to the Presidency because he has nothing else to offer?

Senator Obama has called both Senator Clinton and former President Bill Clinton so many horrible names and accusations, but he apparently feels left out from not receiving the same treatment back from the Clintons, so he makes things up.  AND, he has his campaign surrogates attack the Clintons at rallies for something they didn't even say?  Nice different kind of politics Obama.  What's that old saying?  With friends like this, who needs enemies?  Bill Clinton can't even address a question of talking about the issues that matter to the voters on the General Election without Obama trying to inject himself in to their comments and then claim something was said of him that wasn't.  Does Senator Obama think he will be able to call Leaders around the world names and that will move them to submission for his own desires?  We've already had an inexperienced Bully doing that and we are suppose to be moving forward with positive change, not backwards.

Al Gore's Week's News Round Up

by LindainSFNM
Thu Jan 24th, 2008 at 02:12:55 PM EST

Al Gore has been quite busy this past week. Many have been asking for him and wondering what he's been doing, so I thought I would share some of what I have learned.

The week started out with two new videos being uploaded to Current.com

Al Gore's home, 1 of just 14 LEED rated homes in our country

by LindainSFNM
Sat Dec 15th, 2007 at 09:11:12 PM EST

Al Gore is making environmentalists and tree huggers smile with pride over the latest news that Al Gore not only talks a great talk, but has the walk of a GREEN walk.

The Gore family purchased an 80 year old 10,000 square foot home in 2002, that also houses offices for both, Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, in which they started making a series of steps in energy and environmental improvements.

Al Gore is Proven Leadership, Unmatchable Experience, Stature and Vision

by LindainSFNM
Fri Nov 2nd, 2007 at 03:08:01 PM EST

I can't understand why other candidate's supporters go just a bit too far with their lies, smears and attacks on Al Gore in an effort to try to get more support for their candidate. I couldn't understand why they constantly felt the need to resort to such tactics on a fellow Democrat, let alone Mr. Gore, with his incredible record, that they resort to the same lies we complain of from the reich wing and special interests. Why can't thy try stating why THEY support their preferred candidate, or maybe that is the problem.

My advice is to try educate themselves about the facts, instead of being lead by lies or propaganda put out by opposition, Lobbyists or Corporate Special Interests that have ulterior motives, and they would probably be much happier learning how to deal with realities and be less angry smearing good people.

Why do I want Al Gore to serve as President of the United States, where he once already won the popular vote, but didn’t have the chance to serve the American People in the position he was elected? Because Al Gore has a tremendous record of accomplishments and experience with a priority of doing good for the people and our world-from his years of public service and beyond in to private life, from when he volunteered to serve in Vietnam (even though he was against the war), becoming a reporter for the Tennessean for 5 years upon his return, serving in the US House, serving in the US Senate, serving as US Vice President and now spending his time in private life working tirelessly getting attention to recognize and solve the Climate Crisis. Al Gore is a proven leader with stature, vision and unmatchable experience and has been proven to be correct on some of the most important issues we still face, like the Iraq war, the deficit, health care, over-reaching powers, trampling of our Constitution, the environment and Global Warming. We deserve him to be our president. He is asking us to rebuild our democracy and for citizen activism to bring about the change we need. Please add your voice and show we know we deserve the best to be in the Oval Office to make the agenda and policy to solve the many crisis we face.

You too can vote FOR Al Gore in the Democracy for America Presidential Pulse Poll. Click on “Other” and write in Al Gore.

Here is an incredible video that shows so well why we need Al Gore making policy in the Oval Office.

You can give your 2 cents by writing Mr. Gore personally here:
(enclose 2 pennies and tell him you'll send more when he announces)

Office of Former Vice President
The Honorable Al Gore
2100 West End Avenue, Suite 620

If you want to see his dynamic speech at Constitution Hall about our Constitutional Crisis and the overreaching powers by the Executive Branch, here is the entire speech on video:

Constitution Hall Full speech, video Jan 16, 2006

And then, only a couple weeks ago, Mr. Gore made 3 video shorts reaffirming his positions on 3 important issues we still face.

  1. The Iraq War
  2. Health Care
  3. Our Rights

you can view them on his television networks site.

The Results Are In. Al Gore Is The Winner!

by LindainSFNM
Fri Jul 20th, 2007 at 05:49:41 PM EST

We've heard from Iowa and New Hampshire.  And now we hear from Idaho.  The results are undeniable, America wants a President Gore.

Of course, there are many more polls that show similar results like Pennsylvania, California and on, but special note is that besides the early states, Idaho is also current home to Republcian Senator Craig, who was down right hostile in the Global Warming Hearing and who was pushing the recent Coal Bill with taxpayer subsidies (unfortunately along with a democratic presidential candidate as well).  But also, was where the citizens of Idaho showed that they do know our environment and global warming is a serious issue that needs addressing, with a recent huge sellout crowd that brought Al Gore for a presentation that had to be moved to another venue to hold the growing demand that still sold out the new 10K seat venue.

Al Gore and the next 44 days, by James Boyce

by LindainSFNM
Wed Jul 18th, 2007 at 03:12:36 PM EST

Here is a great article James Boyce wrote.

I don't want to detract from his writing, so I will just post the link for you all to read it's entirity.

It is coming down to the wire. And as I wrote on the article.
"Al, we know we need you. Now you know, we know and now it is time to help us forward.

Please Al, feel that passion you have tucked deep inside. Set it free and help lead us."

Time for a COOL change,

Gore

2008

story,
"The time has come to have a serious discussion about Al Gore and about whether or not you want him to run for president because let's be honest with each other, Al Gore doesn't have to run.

He can go forward and fight his fights from the outside in. He can run a different campaign and keep winning it. If you were Al Gore, you probably wouldn't run either. Do I think he would lose a lot of momentum if and when it's clear he isn't running for President? Hell yes. But he would still have plenty to do.

But I'm here to say: we need Al Gore."

Don't worry Geldof, we all know NOW

by LindainSFNM
Sun May 13th, 2007 at 11:12:55 AM EST

In what appears to be a case of sour grapes, Bob Geldof seemingly made a statement criticizing Al Gore for his Live Earth concert in claiming, "they lack a specific goal, according to a Dutch newspaper report Saturday." Gee, that's funny, I thought they announced what the goal was even before the concert venues.  Live Earth is the launch of Save Our Selves campaign to fight Global Warming and garner the attention to demand the change needed.

Maybe he didn't hear about that?  Then he goes on to say,
"But why is (Gore) actually organizing them? To make us aware of the greenhouse effect? Everybody's known about that problem for years. We are all (expletive) conscious of global warming," he said.

Really?  Gee, many here just started coming around due to Al Gore's efforts, just last year...and THIS year.  And Mr. Geldof may also be surprised to know, unlike his own awareness for many years, as he put it, we even have Elected Leaders who haven't yet warmed up to the idea.  Just Thursday when picking up my hubby for lunch, and a co worker was exiting at the same time, he saw my Al Gore button and exclaimed, "Just give me a few minutes and I'll show you there is no Global Warming, it's just water", and then walked away.  (that's ok, because I was speechless).

Artic Ice Melt Occuring 3 Times Faster Than Estimated

by LindainSFNM
Tue May 1st, 2007 at 11:46:54 AM EST

The consensus among the world top scientists is that we have a climate crisis.  The extensive global warming is human caused, which is causing our climate crisis.

Last month, the United nations gave an estimate that dire effects can occur as soon as 2050 if not soon corrected.

Bad....no, TERRIBLE news.  Yesterday it was announced that the model previously used was for the ice melt in the Arctic was at a rate of 2.5 percent annually.  But their study has revealed that the actual ice loss is at a rate of 7.8 percent annually.  That means 3 times faster than the previous estimated 2050, brings us to around 2020.

Gore Vidal on Campaign ’08 and America’s Future

Posted on Apr 27, 2007

Robert Scheer sits down with Gore Vidal to hear his take on the upcoming presidential campaign, religion and the future of the American empire in this first installment from Truthdig’s series of interviews with the iconic author and historian.

Transcript:

Robert Scheer: What’s going to happen now with our politics? How do you look at this crop of Democrats? What do you think is ... ?

Gore Vidal: Oh, chaos.

Scheer: Chaos. Who do you like in this horse race?

Vidal: Nobody.

Scheer: No one?

Vidal: Well, Cousin Albert [Al Gore] I like.

Scheer: I like Cousin Albert also. ... First of all, what’s with this guy? I mean, why doesn’t he get in fighting trim? ... Why is he holding back ... ?

Vidal: Well, I think, you know, his psyche was probably damaged. ... I don’t know him at all, personally, and always rather avoided him, but ... he’s got the only program that you can sell to the people, and he can be relied upon to keep us out of a war. That’s enough for me. The environment and no war.

Scheer: That’s enough for me also—this could be the boomlet right here, you know? ...

Al Gore's Global Army

by LindainSFNM
Wed Apr 25th, 2007 at 03:19:37 PM EST

I thought this article that appeared in USA Today (besides being surprising) was so well written and worth sharing.  The entire article is worth the read, but I want to highlight a section that gets another message across.

This piece shows how correct Al Gore's discussion that our Climate Crisis is a moral issue that reaches across political parties is.
