On the basis of what I heard last night from the pundit brigade...GOD how I loathe most of them!!!...and a quick morning survey of the media/blog reactions, her motives are still being deeply mistrusted by a large portion of the so-called "Democratic" segments of this society.

So I started to write a reply to TerenceDC's post.

It grew.

I suppose...I hope...that at least some of you  you have already realized how deeply the fix is really in, but at least the following shows that there are some people...a conservative tech geek, of all things (a brilliant one, most obviously, and stubborn as a mule besides)...who are not afraid to speak clearly about what's going on.

After a parapraph that was a truly tortured attempt to remain "neutral" regarding Obama's rightward rush while still supporting him, the second and last paragraph stated:

But I will say this. If anyone in the Obama campaign is listening, tell your candidate to take his foot off the centrism accelerator. He's feeding the left more centrism than they can digest all at once. We all knew and expected that you would tack to the center once the nomination was secured. But you definitely should dole this stuff out in a more piecemeal fashion. You're actually starting to damage the unity, motivation, and credibility of your base. And that has its costs.

I beg to differ.

First of all...as I point out below...she has NOT "lost". The contest is damned near a tie. The media...and the leftiness blogs which are now simply adjunct media when you get right down to it...have declared her a loser. The numbers say otherwise, as do the demographics of those numbers.

"According to the rules of the Dem Party?" I suppose so. It depends on which rules and how valid they are, really. Do y'all truly think that those "rules" were set up in some sort of intelligent, well reasoned, far-seeing manner? Why would one think that given the evidence of political maneuvering over centuries and centuries of human experience? These are POLITICIANS. The "rules"  were set up by hustlers who were shilling for their own interests, and you know what kind of wisdom THAT act generally carries.

Seems there's good reason to call those shirts tasteless, but they do also make people review the situation in their mind; determine "NO ONE!" as the answer; and possibly also leave people a bit more alert to the risk that Obama runs, if he is elected.

(The answer should remain "no one!!")
